Ⅰ.Profile of Better Life Group
Better Life Group which was established in Xiangtan, Hunan, Chairman Mao’s hometown in March 1995, strives to become one of the leading companies in multi channels, whose business covers several industrial sectors, such as retail, real estate, e-commerce, Internet finance, logistics and transportation.
In 2008, Better Life Group was listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Better Life Group implements Great Southwest Strategy for its offline retail stores. By the end of 2017, the group has had 592 multi-business stores in Hunan, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan and other provinces and cities, and provided more than 68,000 jobs, with its annual sales reaching RMB37 billion.
In 2015, the group launched its globalization strategy which integrates global supply chain resources. Currently, the group has set up six global purchasing centers spreading over North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, and established complete supply chain in goods, logistics, storage and distribution.
The group acquired Guangxi Nancheng Department Store in 2014, Pingxiang Xin Lian Xin in September 2016, and Meixi Business in February 2017.
In June, 2016, Better Life Meixi Complex which is the first business, tourism and cultural complex in China and covers an area of 700,000 m2 was put into operation, creating a new operation mode of Chinese commercial real estate.
In February 2018, Tencent and JD invested more than RMB1.6 billion into Better Life Group, and the three parties aim to establish long-term strategic partnership and realize the remodeling of value chain in retail industry based on the vision of “Smart Retail and Boundless Retail”. In the following three years, Better Life Group will devote to develop into a new retail enterprise which is driven by data and integrates online and offline businesses.
Ⅱ.Introduction to Better life Yuntong Jiuhua Urban Joint Distribution Platform
Xiangtan Jiuhua Urban Joint Distribution Platform is a modern logistics distribution center invested by Better Life Yuntong Logistics Service Co., Ltd. with RMB200 million. The project covers an area of 150 mu, including 90 mu for phase I project. It has built 2 domestic commodities storage and distribution centers and 1 bonded commodities storage center, with total warehouse area reaching 30,000 m2.
The project, located at No. 1 Baoshui Road, Jiuhua Economic Development Zone, Xiangtang which is in Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone (XTCBZ), makes full use of the preferential policies provided by XTCBZ to implement the unique management mode in which bonded imported and exported commodities and non-bonded domestic general commodities are managed separately, i.e., the project is equipped with such bonded functions as storage, simple processing, packaging and distribution of imported and exported commodities, as well as non-bonded functions, such as storage, processing, packaging and distribution of domestic general commodities. By doing so, the enterprise’s storage management and logistics distribution costs are reduced.
The project, together with Changsha Gaoling Urban Joint Distribution Center and Changsha Yuhua Environmental Protection Urban Joint Distribution Center, establishes an urban joint distribution platform network to provide customers with integrated service of commodity storage, packaging, processing, urban distribution, customs declaration and inspection broker, main line transport, less-than-carload freight, inventory management, commodity tracking, collection on delivery, data analysis, supply chain finance and logistics consultation.
Yuntong Logistics Service Co., Ltd., founded in June 2008, is an AAAAA-Level logistics enterprise and five-star cold-chain logistics enterprise, with its service network covering the whole Hunan, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Chongqing and other provinces and cities. It has a central warehouse in Xiangtan, 6 provincial warehouses, 4 bonded warehouses and 15 municipal warehouses in Hunan, with total warehouse area (including warehouses of room temperature, freshness preservation, refrigeration and cold storage) reaching more than 500,000 m2, and more than 2,000 employees, as well as more than 1,000 transportation vehicles for room temperature, refrigeration and cold storage.
