Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone (hereinafter referred to as “Xiangtan CBZ”) was approved to establish by the State Council on September 7th, 2013, and is located at the core area of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan. It was put into operation on April 20th, 2015. According to the overall design, Xiangtan CBZ will cover a total area of 3.12km², including an area of 1.62km² for phase-1 construction and 1.5km2 for integrated development. Xiangtan CBZ, as the bridgehead of the development of Xiangtan open economy, has become an important platform for its development.
Since its operation, Xiangtan CBZ, in accordance with the strategic requirements of Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government on “Driven by Innovation and Developed by Opening Up”, and the municipal-level requirements on “Building Xiangtan into a New Highland of Hunan’s Opening Up”, has established an industrial system dominated by big toy industry and supported by medical food and electronic information industries, leveraging the linked development of Xiangtan Economic Development Zone and Xiangtan CBZ and focusing on the industry orientation of “One dominant industry and two supporting industries”. It has made great efforts to build five platforms, i.e., industrial cluster platform, enterprise service platform, warehousing and logistics platform, bonded R&D exhibition and promotion platform, and cross-border e-commerce platform, and facilitate commercial supporting service and living supporting service, to form a new pattern of integrated development inside and outside the network. The economic quality has been steadily improved, the business forms of the CBZ have been continuously enriched, the platform functions have been gradually improved, the business environment has been continuously optimized, and reform and self-construction have been consolidated and enhanced.
