Recently, the preliminary planning and design scheme for International Commodity Exhibition and Transaction Center of Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan has been completed. The scheme analyzes the location, master planning, SWOT and other present situations of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan, and designs in terms of planning, engineering and building, etc.
The expert panel consisting of four experts including Chen Jianru, Chief Engineer of Xiangtan Urban and Rural Planning Bureau, Long Zhenghui, Deputy Director of Xiangtan Two-Oriented Society Office, Wu Yue, Professor of School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Hunan University of Science and Technology, and He Lewen, Vice President of Xiangtan Planning and Design Institute, reviewed the planning and design scheme for International Commodity Exhibition and Transaction Center. The expert panel agreed that the planning function layout of the design scheme is reasonable, space landscape design is strict and orderly, traffic flow line is relatively clear, municipal engineering supporting facilities are complete, and at technical level the scheme basically meets relevant specifications and requirements. Meanwhile, the expert panel analyzed and researched the master planning relationship, planning documents, overall layout, traffic organization and many other aspects, and put forward instructive opinions and suggestions for the project of International Commodity Exhibition and Transaction Center.
The project of International Commodity Exhibition and Transaction Center will help enhance Xiangtan’s status as a regional central city, and greatly drive the urban brand image construction, urban management, status improvement and strategic development. After completed, International Commodity Exhibition and Transaction Center will become a complex integrating warehousing, logistics, import commodity exhibition, transaction, office and conference together, form the largest import commodity exhibition and transaction platform in Hunan Province, and provide real import commodity for ordinary people in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Region or even the whole province. Meanwhile, as a comprehensive exhibition and transaction center, through the development of bonded exhibition, service trade, technology research and development and other functions, this project will provide a comprehensive business platform integrating import and export commodities, information and technology together for Chinese and foreign merchants.
Related leading officials of Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan said that with the great attention and support from the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan is making efforts to build "Four Areas & One Center" (regional and export-oriented high-end manufacturing conglomeration area, modern international logistics area, supporting services model area, reform and innovation pilot area and international commodity exhibition and transaction center). Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan will fully absorb the review opinions and suggestions of the expert panel, further improve relevant planning and design scheme, properly complete preliminary work of the project as soon as possible, try best to start related construction of the transaction center as soon as possible, so that people in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Region or even the whole province can enjoy the convenience of purchasing international commodity at home as early as possible.
