After listening to the report on relevant situations of Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan, Long Xinping, Director General of Hunan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, said that the bureau will try best to support Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan in applying for Imported Meat Designated Port, expand the function advantages of Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan, and promote the rapid development of the open economy of Xiangtan City and Hunan Province.

Currently, the application for Imported Meat Designated Port has been submitted to the People's Government of Hunan Province, relevant early-stage work is steadily progressing, the application for designated port of imported aquatic products and fruits etc. is also actively progressing. Zhu Youhong said that at present, the projects under negotiation, enterprises in the zone and operation of Hong Kong-Xiangtan Through Train have strong desire for Imported Meat Designated Port qualification of Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan, and Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan with the special function advantage “outside the customs and within the boundary” is qualified to apply, hope Hunan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to give strong support for the application work of Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xiangtan.
