The development of Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone is planned as “Four Areas&One Center”, which includes regional and export-oriented high-end manufacturing conglomeration area, modern international logistics area, supporting services model area, reform and innovation pilot area and import commodity exhibition and transaction center. The Zone will focus on developing high-end manufacturing industry, specialty products processing industry, modern international logistics industry, bonded exhibition and international trade.
(1)High-end Manufacturing Industry: It mainly focuses on international auto and auto parts export processing, electronic information products manufacturing and processing, and equipment manufacturing industry represented by engineering machinery, rail transport, aviation equipment, steel intensive and fine processing.
(2)Specialty Products Processing Industry: It covers agricultural products intensive processing, characteristic resource products processing such as food processing and textile industry.
(3)Modern International Logistics Industry: Its key work is to build trading and distributing centers for bulk raw materials such as ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal, to develop third and fourth party logistics business, to conduct VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) business and zero stock business which serve the surrounding manufacturing enterprises, and to conduct intensive processing carry-over business and distributing business to the surrounding processing trade enterprises.
(4)Bonded Exhibition and International Trade: It focuses on the construction of an import commodity exhibition and transaction center with such functions as international trade, bonded warehousing, and exhibition. It also strives to develop the emerging international service trades such as cross-border electronic commerce, international service outsourcing, bonded research and development as well as detection and maintenance.
